Being new to the blogging scene, I'm trying to make as many connections to other bloggers as I can. I've used the Teachers Pay Teachers forum and blog list to see who's out there so far. After a lot of scrolling and copying/pasting in my browser bar, I decided to start a Neighborhood Blog Party on my own blog as a one-stop hub to connect bloggers--new and experienced from all grades and subjects. I know there are a few other similar blog hubs out there, but I figure there's always room for more. It can't hurt to offer more opportunities to link up with other blogs, right?
Here's my official advertisement for the link up: Come meet your neighbors on the 'Net! Link up your blog here. Then, start blog hopping. Visit other blogs. Follow them. Comment on them. Make connections.
This last part is important: Grab the Neighborhood Blog Party (NBP) button and add it to your blog so that even more bloggers can come to the party and link up! (Directions to add the button are on the NBP page.) The more exposure the NBP gets when people see and click on the buttons that appear on the blogs that have joined up, the better chance other bloggers may link up their blogs and make their way to yours.
So far, there's been a really good turn out. I'm looking forward to reading all the blogs that have been linked so far and making meaningful connections. It means a lot to me when people find what I post useful and leave encouraging comments. I can't wait to do the same for others!
Love your blog party! It's so much fun!
